Grab the edge of the blue tape and pull away from the white connector. Set the tape aside as you will need it for the replacement.
You may find that the ribbon cable will pull away from the connector as you remove the tape. If this is the case continue to remove the tape from the ribbon cable as you will need to use this on the replacement to ensure proper installation.
