Remove the Top Platter

  • Now, for the fun stuff! Let's remove the top platter first. Remove the six Torx TR6 screws (circled in red - one is behind my screwdriver) in the middle of the platter and then lift the ring (boxed in orange) in the center off. Then, slide the top platter out from under the read/write head (in the direction of the red arrows in the third picture).

  • Don't worry about being gentle at this point - you've already destroyed all of the data by simply opening the drive up.

Retirer le plateau supérieur

Maintenant, pour les trucs amusants! Retirons d'abord le plateau supérieur. Retirez les six vis Torx TR6 (entourées en rouge - l'une est derrière mon tournevis) au milieu du plateau, puis soulevez l'anneau (encadré en orange) au centre. Ensuite, faites glisser le plateau supérieur sous la tête de lecture/écriture (les flèches sur la troisième image

Ne vous souciez pas d'être doux à ce stade - vous avez déjà détruit toutes les données en ouvrant simplement le lecteur.
