  • Select your hard drive from the left column in Disk Utility.

  • It is most likely the uninitialized drive.

  • If you have multiple hard drives, make sure you select the correct one as the next step will wipe the selected drive clean.

  • Click the "Erase" button at the top of the window.

  • Choose a name for your drive (you can rename it later). Leave the scheme as GUID Partition Map.

  • If you are installing an SSD, choose the APFS format. If you are installing a mechanical drive or if your device doesn't officially support the newer OS, leave the format as Mac OS Extended (journaled)

  • Click "Erase." When the process completes, click "Done."

  • Exit the Disk Utility by clicking on the red X button on the top left corner of the window.

Sélectionnez votre disque dur parmi la liste de la colonne de gauche de l'Utilitaire de disque.

Il s'agit le plus souvent du disque non initialisé.

Si vous avez plusieurs disques durs, veillez à sélectionner le bon disque car à l'étape suivante, celui-ci sera complètement effacé.

Cliquez sur le bouton "Effacer" en haut de la fenêtre.

Choisissez un nom pour votre disque (vous pourrez le renommer plus tard). Laissez le schéma sur carte de partition GUID.

Si vous installez un SSD, choisissez le format APFS. Si vous installez un disque dur mécanique, laissez le format Mac OS étendu (journalisé).

Cliquez sur "Effacer". Une fois le processus terminé, cliquez sur "Terminé".

Quitter l'Utilitaire de disque en cliquant sur le bouton rouge en forme de X dans le coin supérieur gauche de la fenêtre.
