  • Turn on your soldering iron. If your soldering iron has temperature control:

  • Set it to 300 °C (~570 °F) if you're using leaded solder

  • Set it to 375 °C (~700 °F) if you're using lead-free solder

  • Clean the tip of your soldering iron. If you're using a sponge, wet the sponge and quickly wipe the tip across it. If you're using brass wire, stab the tip into the wire a few times.

Intermédiaire

Allumez votre fer à souder. Si votre fer à souder est doté d'un contrôle de la température :

Réglez-le sur 300 °C (~570 °F) si vous utilisez de la soudure au plomb.

Réglez-le sur 375 °C (~700 °F) si vous utilisez de la soudure sans plomb.

Nettoyez la panne de votre fer à souder. Si vous utilisez une éponge, mouillez-la et passez rapidement la panne dessus. Si vous utilisez un fil de laiton, enfoncez la panne dans le fil plusieurs fois.
