Opening the scale

  • Opening up the scale was not an easy task – there was a lot of double-sided tape involved.

  • The back of the scale is fastened with four Torx screws – easy enough. The entire backplate, however, is glued to the front with double-sided adhesive cushions. Removing it simply involved pulling it firmly enough to break the adhesive, but not so hard as to break the connectors. A hairdryer can help loosen the adhesive under the 4 corners.

  • With the backplate removed, you can immediately spot 4 loads cells, one in each corner.

Ouvrir le pèse-personne

Ouvrir le pèse-personne n'était pas une tâche facile, à cause de la présence d'adhésif double face.

L'arrière du pèse-personne est fixé par 4 vis Torx - c'est simple. La plaque inférieure est cependant collée à la façade par des adhésifs double faces. Pour l'enlever il faut simplement tirer assez fermement pour défaire l'adhésif, mais pas trop pour ne pas endommager les connecteurs. Un sèche-cheveux peux aider à décoller les adhésifs aux 4 coins.

Une fois la plaque arrière enlevée, vous apercevez immédiatement les 4 capteurs de poids, un à chaque angle.
