  • Capacitor Testing: This will require a digital multimeter with a capacitance testing option.

  • Connect the positive lead of the multimeter to the positive lead of the capacitor, and vice versa for the negative. If the capacitor is functioning the multimeter will give a reading that is similar to the ratings given on the capacitor casing.

  • NOTE: If the capacitor reading is -5% of its given base rating then the capacitor is consider bad.

Condensatormeting: Dit vereist een digitale multimeter met een condensatormeetoptie.

Verbind de positieve meetpen (rood) van de multimeter met de positieve pool van de condensator en doe hetzelfde voor de negatieve (zwarte) meetpen en pool. Als de condensator naar behoren functioneert zal de multimeter een waarde tonen die overeenkomt met de waarde die op de behuizing van de condensator staat.

LET OP: Als de waarde op de multimeter 5% of meer onder de basiswaarde van de condensator zit (die op de condensator zelf staat), wordt de condensator als slechts beoordeeld.
