Remove the broken diode

  • To desolder the broken diode, apply heat to one side while lifting the diode with tweezers. Repeat on the other side until the diode comes loose.

  • If the solder seems to not want to melt, try using a larger soldering tip to transfer more heat and melt the solder faster.

  • After removing the shorted diode, the access point should power up and function normally. However, omitting this step could result in further damage if an overvoltage event occurs.

Retirer la diode cassée

Dessouder la diode cassée. Appliquez de la chaleur sur un fil tout en soulevant la diode avec des pincettes. Une fois la soudure fondue, la pièce doit se soulever. Répétez sur l'autre fil.

Si la soudure ne semble pas fondre et que la température est déjà très élevée, essayez d'utiliser une pointe plus grosse. Parfois, cela aide à transférer plus de chaleur au plomb, faisant fondre la soudure plus rapidement.

Une fois la diode en court-circuit retirée, le point d'accès devrait s'allumer et fonctionner normalement. Cependant, l'omission de cette pièce causera potentiellement plus de dommages si un événement de surtension se produit.
