Test the TVS diode

  • The TVS diode, marked D6 on the PCB, is located between the antenna and a large IC on the RJ45 port side of the board.

  • It is a 24V uni-directional TVS diode with J leads (SMBJ24A) made by Littlefuse. Note the location of the white bar on the diode, as it indicates its orientation.

  • Use a multimeter or ohmmeter to test whether the diode has shorted. A shorted diode will read less than 1 Ohm in both directions. A working diode will have significantly higher resistance in one direction than the other.

  • If the diode is not shorted, then there may be another issue, and proceeding further may not help resolve the problem with your access point.

TVS Diode testen

Die TVS Diode, die auf der Platine mit D6 gekennzeichnet ist, befindet sich zwischen der Antenne und einem großen IC auf der RJ45 (Netzwerkbuchse)-Anschlussseite der Platine.

Es handelt sich um eine 24 V unidirektionale TVS Diode mit J-Anschlüssen (SMBJ24A) von "Littlefuse". Achte auf die Position des weißen Balkens auf der Diode, da er ihre Ausrichtung anzeigt.

Benutze dein Multimeter oder Ohmmeter, um zu prüfen, ob die Diode kurzgeschlossen ist. Eine kurzgeschlossene Diode zeigt in beiden Richtungen weniger als 1 Ohm an. Eine funktionierende Diode hat in einer Richtung einen deutlich höheren Widerstand als in der anderen (Sperrrichtung).

Wenn die Diode nicht kurzgeschlossen ist, liegt möglicherweise ein anderes Problem vor und ein weiteres Vorgehen kann das Problem mit deinem Access Point nicht lösen.
