Voordat we op het Retina-scherm stuiten, schrapen we er eerst nog een fancy fan, ofwel ventilator, uit. De bladen schijnen super stil te zijn als gevolg van het ontwerp, waarin ze asymmetrisch geplaatst zijn.

Hoewel Jony Ive zich verheugde over "dunnere, verschillend gepositioneerde bladen," wordt deze technologie al sinds 2012 in sommige MacBook Pro-modellen gebruikt.

Er is ook een significante hoeveelheid ruimte die niet wordt ingevuld door de bladen van de ventilator—wat waarschijnlijk ook weer een hoogstaande feature is van het hele koelsysteem. Bovendien ziet het er tof uit in de video.
