This guide will teach you how to remove the speakers. This will allow you to then replace the speakers the same way you take them off. In this guide, the items needed are a screwdriver and a soldering iron.
If the sound quality coming from your Sophix (730g) tablet is distorted, muffled, sporadic, or just doesn’t sound like it used to, there could be a problem with the tablet's speakers.
Before using this guide, first check to see that the volume control is set properly. An improperly set volume control may create a sound that is different than expected to be emitted from the tablet.
If that doesn’t fix the problem, check to make certain that there is no type of external material of any kind, such as tape, paper, fabric, or any other form of external obstruction that has become stuck or lodged in, on, or near the speakers.
If this does not fix the quality of sound, it could mean that there is some type of debris inside the small holes that has the speakers clogged. This can easily be cleared using a soft brush or cloth, or by blowing on the speakers using a can of compressed air or a small electronic dust blower.
If none of these troubleshooting suggestions improve the sound quality emitted from your tablet it could mean that your speakers have gone bad. You can easily replace them yourself following the steps in this guide.
To complete this project, you will need to know how to use a solder iron. The project requires that one first desolder, then resolder specific parts of the tablet.
Before you begin, make sure that you have powered off the tablet and disconnected it from any electrical power source.
Begin with a clean, dry surface that is well-lit and free of debris. Plug in the solder iron so that it may begin heating.
