  • Now that the logic board is out, we're free to pick out the Lightning connector assembly.

  • Or can we!? Prying up the light adhesive went well, but our first tug was in vain. There are some extra screws in this port!

  • It seems like Apple has taken our warning to heart. Without a headphone jack to bear the burden of audio connections, this port will get a lot more wear, and it's been well reinforced.

  • Other denizens of the Lightning cable (a.k.a. the "everything cable"): an antenna, two microphones, two speaker grille plugs, and oh yeah...the Lightning port.

Maintenant que nous avons sorti la carte mère, nous pouvons retirer la nappe du connecteur Lightning.

Ou peut-être que non ?! Nous n'avons pas eu trop de mal à retirer l'adhésif, mais ça n'aura pas servi à grand chose. Il y a des vis en plus sur ce connecteur !

On dirait bien qu'Apple a pris notre avertissement à cœur. Sans une prise jack pour porter le fardeau des connections audio, ce port aura beaucoup plus de travail, mais y sera bien préparé.

Autres résidents de la nappe Lightning (ou encore "nappe à tout faire") : une antenne, deux microphones, deux grilles de haut-parleur et... le port Lightning.
