  • Using a correctly sized wrench or socket, loosen the nut/bolt securing the cable on the negative battery terminal.

  • Always disconnect the negative cable first (before removing the positive cable).

  • The negative terminal may be marked with a minus (-) symbol, or it may be unmarked. The positive terminal is almost always marked with a plus (+) symbol, often in red.

  • If the nut or bolt spins without loosening, it may be necessary to counter-hold the opposite side with a second wrench or socket.

Gebruik een (dop)sleutel van het juiste formaat om de moer/bout los te draaien waarmee de kabel op de negatieve pool van de accu is bevestigd.

Koppel altijd eerst de min kabel los (voordat je de plus kabel verwijdert).

De minpool kan gemarkeerd zijn met een minteken (-) of niet gemarkeerd zijn. De pluspool is bijna altijd gemarkeerd met een plusteken (+), vaak in het rood.

Als de moer of bout ronddraait zonder los te komen, raden we je aan om de andere kant tegen te houden met een tweede sleutel of dopsleutel.
