Open the hood (bonnet)

  • Most motor vehicle batteries are located in the engine bay, under the hood (a.k.a. bonnet). If your battery is located elsewhere, skip to Step 5.

  • If you're not sure, simply continue reading.

  • Pull the hood release lever. It's usually located inside the car, near the steering wheel.

Open de motorkap

De meeste accu's van motorvoertuigen bevinden zich in de motorruimte, onder de motorkap. Als de accu zich ergens anders bevindt, ga je verder met stap 5.

Als je het niet zeker weet, lees dan gewoon verder.

Trek aan de ontgrendelingshendel van de motorkap. Deze bevindt zich meestal in de auto, in de buurt van het stuur.
