  • With the component countdown nearly complete, it's time to extract part number 01: the thermal system.

  • Out comes the system's single 120 mm fan—looking much like a PC case fan, but with some sculpting that's unique to the Xbox One's design.

  • The standard Xbox One had a similarly robust cooling setup, possibly designed to avoid a repeat of the Xbox 360's billion dollar problem.

  • The backup for the One S's biggest fan is an impressive aluminum heat sink and copper heat pipe set. Cool.

Con il conto alla rovescia dei componenti quasi completo, è ora di estrarre il pezzo numero 01: il sistema termico.

Viene fuori l'unica ventola da 120 mm del sistema, molto simile a una ventola per il case di un PC, ma con alcune scolpiture uniche del design di Xbox One.

L'Xbox One standard aveva una configurazione di raffreddamento altrettanto robusta, forse progettata per evitare il ripetersi del problema da un miliardo di dollari dell'Xbox 360.

Il backup per la ventola più grande di One S è un impressionante dissipatore di calore in alluminio e un set di tubi di calore in rame. Che freschezza.
