  • Reach into the opening and turn the oil filter counter-clockwise by hand.

  • If the filter is too tight to loosen by hand, use an oil filter wrench. A wrench that fits over the top of the oil filter is ideal, as there is very little space on the sides of the oil filter. It may be necessary to access the filter from below the car if you need to use a wrench.

  • When the oil filter comes off, remove it from the engine bay with the open end facing up to reduce the amount of oil spilled.

  • Place the oil filter in the oil drain pan with the open end facing down.

Introduzca la mano en la abertura y gire el filtro de aceite en sentido antihorario.

Si el filtro está demasiado apretado para aflojarlo a mano, utilice una llave para filtros de aceite. Lo ideal es una llave que encaje en la parte superior del filtro de aceite, ya que hay muy poco espacio a los lados del filtro de aceite. Puede ser necesario acceder al filtro desde la parte inferior del coche si necesita utilizar una llave.

Cuando salga el filtro de aceite, retírelo del vano motor con el extremo abierto hacia arriba para reducir la cantidad de aceite derramado.

Coloque el filtro de aceite en la bandeja de drenaje de aceite con el extremo abierto hacia abajo.
