  • Locate the oil dipstick. It has a white handle and is on the front passenger side of the engine.

  • Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe it off, place it all the way back into its hole and remove it again.

  • Check the oil level on the end of the dipstick. It should be between the two holes or slightly above the top one.

  • This is not your actual oil level, but a pre-check to make sure the engine will not run dry when you first start it. The oil level will drop slightly after the first run when oil fills the new oil filter.

  • Add oil if the oil level is below the bottom hole of the dipstick. Place the oil dipstick all the way back in its hole.

Saca la varilla medidora de aceite, límpiala, colócala completamente en su orificio y retírala nuevamente.

Comprueba el nivel de aceite en el extremo de la varilla medidora. Debe estar entre los dos agujeros o ligeramente por encima del superior.

Este no es su nivel de aceite real, sino una verificación previa para asegurarte de que el motor no funcione en seco cuando lo arranques por primera vez. El nivel de aceite bajará ligeramente después de la primera ejecución cuando el aceite llene el nuevo filtro de aceite.

Agrega aceite si el nivel de aceite está por debajo del orificio inferior de la varilla medidora. Coloca la varilla medidora de aceite completamente en su orificio.
