  • Use your hand to turn the oil filter counter-clockwise until it comes off the threads.

  • If the filter is too tight to loosen by hand, use an oil filter wrench. A wrench that fits over the top of the oil filter is ideal, as there is very little space on the sides of the oil filter.

  • Lower the filter with the threads facing up to prevent spilling oil, then place it in the oil drain pan with the threads facing down.

  • Clean the engine's oil filter seal surface with a clean rag.

Usa tu mano para girar el filtro de aceite en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que se salga de las roscas.

Si el filtro está demasiado apretado para aflojarlo con la mano, usa una llave para filtros de aceite. Una llave que encaje sobre la parte superior del filtro de aceite es ideal, ya que hay muy poco espacio a los lados del filtro de aceite.

Baja el filtro con las roscas hacia arriba para evitar que se derrame aceite, luego colócalo en la bandeja de drenaje de aceite con las roscas hacia abajo.

Limpia la superficie del sello del filtro de aceite del motor con un trapo limpio.
