  • Locate the oil dipstick. It has a yellow handle and is just to the right of the oil filler cap.

  • Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe it off, place it all the way back into its hole and remove it again.

  • Check the oil level on the end of the dipstick. It should be between the two holes or slightly above the top one.

  • This is not your actual oil level, but a pre-check to make sure the engine will not run dry when you first start it. The oil level will drop slightly after the first run when oil fills the new oil filter.

  • Add oil if the oil level is below the bottom hole of the dipstick. Place the oil dipstick all the way back in its hole.

Localisez la jauge d'huile. Elle est dotée d'une poignée jaune et se trouve juste à droite du bouchon de remplissage d'huile.

Retirez la jauge d'huile, essuyez-la, replacez-la complètement dans son logement, puis retirez-la à nouveau.

Vérifiez le niveau d'huile à l'extrémité de la jauge. Il doit se situer entre les deux trous ou légèrement au-dessus du trou supérieur.

Il ne s'agit pas du niveau d'huile réel, mais d'une vérification préalable visant à s'assurer que le moteur ne tournera pas à sec lors du premier démarrage. Le niveau d'huile baissera légèrement après le premier démarrage, lorsque l'huile remplira le nouveau filtre à huile.

Ajoutez de l'huile si le niveau d'huile est inférieur au trou inférieur de la jauge. Remettez la jauge d'huile dans son logement.
