  • Locate the oil dipstick. It has a yellow handle and is just to the right of the oil filler cap.

  • Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe it off, place it all the way back into its hole and remove it again.

  • Check the oil level on the end of the dipstick. It should be between the two holes or slightly above the top one.

  • This is not your actual oil level, but a pre-check to make sure the engine will not run dry when you first start it. The oil level will drop slightly after the first run when oil fills the new oil filter.

  • Add oil if the oil level is below the bottom hole of the dipstick. Place the oil dipstick all the way back in its hole.

Localice la varilla de nivel de aceite. Tiene un asa amarilla y está justo a la derecha del tapón de llenado de aceite.

Extraiga la varilla de nivel de aceite, límpiela, vuelva a colocarla en su orificio y extráigala de nuevo.

Compruebe el nivel de aceite en el extremo de la varilla. Debe estar entre los dos agujeros o ligeramente por encima del superior.

No se trata del nivel de aceite real, sino de una comprobación previa para asegurarse de que el motor no funcionará en seco cuando lo arranque por primera vez. El nivel de aceite bajará ligeramente después del primer arranque cuando el aceite llene el nuevo filtro de aceite.

Añada aceite si el nivel está por debajo del orificio inferior de la varilla. Vuelva a colocar la varilla del nivel de aceite en su orificio.
