Draining the Old Stuff

  • Use a 17 mm box-end or socket wrench to loosen the drain plug. When you're able to, remove the wrench and loosen it by hand.

  • Be sure to wear protective gloves (and eyewear). If the car has been running, the oil, transmission and exhaust may be hot. Also, keep some rags or towels close by in case of spills.

Drenar viejo aceite

Use una llave de 17 mm para aflojar el tapón de drenaje. Cuando pueda, retire la llave y aflójela a mano.

Asegúrese de usar guantes protectores (y gafas). Si el automóvil ha estado funcionando, el aceite, la transmisión y el escape pueden estar calientes. Además, mantenga algunos trapos o toallas cerca en caso de derrames.
