  • Stellt zuerst sicher, dass ihr das breite weiße Kabelband von der Hauptplatine abgezogen habt.

  • Nehmt jetzt den Spudger, am besten aus Metall, und löst vorsichtig die Klips an der Seite des Players.

  • Dann löst die auf der Oberseite. Aber Vorsicht: die beiden rechts und links vom Laufwerk sind aus recht brüchigem Plastik.

  • Wenn alle Klips gelöst sind klappt das Vorderteil etwas nach außen.

  • Entweder nehmt Ihr jetzt auch noch die unteren Klips in Angriff, dabei aber nochmal sicherstellen, dass das breite weiße Kabelband abgezogen ist, da Euch hier das gesamte Frontpanel entgegenspringen kann.

The scenic route 1/2

Just be sure, you have disconnected the white ribbon from the mainboard, so you wouldn't damage the connector while taking the front cover off.

Now you have to get the metal spudger and gently work you way below the clips on the side and loosen them.

Then the ones at the top but careful, there are two left and right of the disk tray looking a bit different and consisting entirely out of snappy plastic.

Now the front cover will tilt forward.

Either you take the lower clips of as well, but the entire cover might jump towards you (in this case you have to make sure again, the blue ribbon is disconnected) or you just work with the gap you just created.
