Installing the Transmission Drain Plug

  • Re-insert the transmission drain plug into the transmission housing and hand tighten.

  • Using a 3/4" wrench, tighten down the transmission drain plug.

  • It is important to not over-tighten the drain plug. Tightening the plug too much can strip the threads on the aluminum housing. The plug should be tight, but not too tight. The correct torque specification is 14 - 21 ft-lbs (168 - 252 in-lbs).

Installation du bouchon de vidange de transmission

Réinsérez le bouchon de vidange de transmission dans le boîtier de transmission et serrez à la main.

À l'aide d'une clé 3/4 ", serrez le bouchon de vidange de la transmission.

Il est important de ne pas trop serrer le bouchon de vidange. Le fait de resserrer trop le bouchon peut abimer le pas de vis sur le boîtier en aluminium. Le bouchon doit être serré, mais pas trop. La spécification de couple correcte est de 14 - 21 ft-lbs (168 - 252 in-lbs).
