Finish Up Oil Pan and Move to the Oil Filter

  • Wipe off and replace the oil pan drain plug. Use a moderate amount of force, but do not over-tighten the bolt.

  • You can always tighten the bolt more if you notice oil leaking from the plug. A cracked oil pan, however, is a much more expensive repair.

  • Position the oil drain pan underneath the oil filter.

Finir l'étape du carter d'huile et passer au filtre à huile.

Essuyez et remplacez le bouchon de vidange du carter d'huile. Ne serrez pas trop le boulon, adaptez votre force pour serrer.

Vous pouvez toujours serrer davantage le boulon si vous remarquez une fuite d'huile par le bouchon. Cependant, un carter d'huile fissuré engendre une réparation beaucoup plus coûteuse.

Placez le bac de vidange d'huile sous le filtre à huile.
