Finish Up Oil Pan and Move to the Oil Filter

  • Wipe off and replace the oil pan drain plug. Use a moderate amount of force, but do not over-tighten the bolt.

  • You can always tighten the bolt more if you notice oil leaking from the plug. A cracked oil pan, however, is a much more expensive repair.

  • Position the oil drain pan underneath the oil filter.

Beende die Arbeit mit der Ölwanne und mache mit dem Ölfilter weiter

Wische die Ölablassschraube ab und verschließe die Ölwanne wierder. Ziehe die Ölablassschraube an, aber überziehe sie nicht.

Sollte später etwas Öl austreten, kannst du die Schraube immer noch fester anziehen. Eine gebrochene Ölwanne kann aber zu einer sehr teuren Reperatur werden.

Platziere den Auffangbehälter nun unter dem Ölfilter.
