  • Use the edge of a plastic opening tool to flip up the retaining flap on the headphone jack ribbon cable ZIF socket.

  • Be sure you are prying up on the hinged retaining flap, not the socket itself.

  • Pull the headphone jack ribbon cable out of its socket and bend the cable away from the large piece of EMI foil stuck to the top speaker.
