Asymmetry in screw placement

  • Based on the previous side, I assumed that disassembly of the 3.5mm jack side (to be referred to as "jack side" from this point) would be similar. I started by removing the surrounding ring, only to find out that there was no screws hidden underneath.

  • From my memory, there is absolutely no reason to remove this surrounding ring on the jack side.

  • After prying for a while, I began to wonder if some type of plastic clips were holding the two sides together. Knowing the two sides were already held together with strong "rails", I decided to drill out the areas where these clips were believed to be located

Asimetría en la colocación de tornillos

Basado en el lado anterior, supuse que el desmontaje del lado del conector(jack) de 3,5 mm (que se denominará "lado del conector" a partir de este punto) sería similar. Empecé quitando el anillo circundante, solo para descubrir que no había tornillos escondidos debajo.

De mi memoria, no hay absolutamente ninguna razón para quitar este anillo circundante en el lado del conector (jack).

Después de hacer palanca por un tiempo, comencé a preguntarme si algún tipo de clips de plástico mantenían los dos lados juntos. Sabiendo que los dos lados ya estaban unidos con fuertes "rieles", decidí perforar las áreas donde se creía que estaban ubicados estos clips.
