  • Measuring in at 143 × 73 × 11 mm, the Fairphone 2 is definitely a size up from the 1st generation.

  • At 168 g (20 grams of which is the case) the Fairphone 2 is only 6 grams heavier than the 1st gen.

  • We can already spot two SIM slots underneath the see-through case. Hooray flexibility!

  • The whole phone snaps snugly into this (easily removable) case, no tricks here.

  • What's that? A five pin connector that seemingly connects to nothing? We'll be looking into that later...

  • This phone is lovingly labeled "Designed to open." Music to our ears!

Met afmetingen van 43 x 73 x 11 mm is de Fairphone 2 wel degelijk aangekomen ten opzichte van het toestel van de eerste generatie.

Met 168g (waarvan 20g van de behuizing) is de Fairphone 2 slechts 6 gram zwaarder dan de 1e generatie.

We kunnen nu al twee SIM-kaart slots zien onder de doorzichtige behuizing. Hoera voor flexibiliteit!

De hele telefoon beweegt makkelijk in en uit de verwijderbare behuizing. Geen booby-traps hier.

Wat is dat? Een vijfpinsaansluiting die nergens op aan lijkt te sluiten? Daar moeten we later nog eens naar kijken...

Deze telefoon is—hoe schattig?—gelabeld met "Designed to open." Dat klinkt ons als muziek in de oren!
