  • Hier ist das fertige Ergebnis zu sehen. An allen drei Einzugsunterbrechern und einer Metallgabel wurde das alte Moosgummi entfernt und ersetzt.

  • Um zu prüfen, ob die Reparatur erfolgreich war, kann man mit der Hand die Metallgabel gegen den Einzugsunterbrecher drücken. Lässt man anschließend die Metallgabel los, sollte sie sofort auf das Zahnrad zurückspringen.

  • Bleibt die Metallgabel nach dem Loslassen hingegen kurz hängen und springt erst verzögert zurück, ist entweder das Material ungeeignet, das als Ersatz verwendet wurde oder die Stelle wurde noch nicht komplett von allen Kleberesten gereinigt. In diesem Fall sollten die Schritte 10, 11 und 12 bzw. 13, 14 und 15 bzw. 16 nochmals wiederholt werden.

  • Wenn das neue Material als Ersatz für das Moosgummi zu dick ist, wird das Zahnrad auch dann noch blockiert, wenn die Metallgabel direkt am Einzugsunterbrecher anliegt. In diesem Fall sollte ein dünneres Material verwendet werden, da der Drucker ansonsten nicht korrekt funktioniert.

Final result and review

Here is the finished result. On all four intake breakers, the old sponge rubber was removed and replaced.

To check whether the repair was successful, you can press the metal fork against the feed breaker by hand. If you then let go off the metal fork, it should immediately jump back on the gear.

On the other hand, if the metal fork lingers briefly after being released and only returns with a delay, either the material that was used as a replacement is unsuitable or the area has not yet been completely cleaned of all adhesive residues. In this case, steps 10, 11 and 12 or 13, 14 and 15 or 16 should be repeated again.

If the replacement material for the sponge rubber is too thick, the gear is still blocked by the metal fork even if the fork is pressed against the feed breaker. In that case, the material should be replaced with a thinner material, since the printer won't function with the thicker material.
