How to Fix a Cross Threaded or Stripped Hole in Aluminum: crwdns2935265:00crwdnd2935265:01crwdnd2935265:01crwdne2935265:0

  • Determine which hole has the cross threaded or stripped screws.

  • Determine the size of the current thread. Threads are called out by the outer diameter, a dash, and then the thread count. For example, the tap shown is 1/4"-20".

  • The hole's outer diameter can be determined by measuring the width of the screw or bolt that goes into the hole.

  • The thread count can be determined by counting the number of threads in one inch of screw length.

  • Select the appropriate tap size.

  • Taps are sharp. Do not handle the teeth.

  • Install the tap into the tap handle (See photo).

Bepaal welk gat beschadigd is.

Bepaal de grootte van de huidige schroefdraad. Metrische schroefdraad wordt aangeduid met M, dan de buitendiameter, een kruisje en vervolgens de spoed. De getoonde tap is bijvoorbeeld M4 x 0,5.

De buitendiameter van het gat kan worden bepaald door de breedte te meten van de schroef of bout die in het gat gaat.

De spoed is de rechtlijnige afstand tussen twee overeenkomstige punten van dezelfde schroeflijn, het is de verplaatsing langs de as per omwenteling. U kunt op internet zoeken naar een schroefdraad tabel.

Selecteer de juiste tapmaat.

Tappen zijn scherp. Raak de tanden niet aan.

Monteer de tap in het wringijzer (zie foto).
