  • Who runs the phone? Battery!

  • Removing the battery from the S6 should be a little bit easier than from the Edge. In the Edge, the battery cable was routed under the motherboard before connecting on top, necessitating removing the motherboard to get to the battery.

  • Looks like with the bit of extra room inside the regular S6, Samsung was able to run the cable on top of the board, to save a step for battery removal.

  • Also, thanks to the flat-screen design of the S6, it's easier to push an opening pick straight into the gap between the battery and display assembly, making it easier to cut the (just-as-strong) adhesive holding the battery.

  • This hardly qualifies as a user-replaceable battery, but it is a bit easier than in the S6 Edge. Still, it's a flying leap backwards from previous Galaxies like the S5, where you could replace the battery using nothing but your wits, and you didn't even really need those.

Le retrait de la batterie du S6 devrait être un peu plus facile que celui de l'Edge. Dans l'Edge, la nappe de la batterie passait sous la carte mère avant d'être connectée en haut, ce qui nécessitait le retrait de la carte mère pour accéder à la batterie.

Apparemment, avec ce peu de place supplémentaire à l'intérieur du S6 standard, Samsung était capable de faire passer la nappe au dessus de la carte mère et c'est une étape en moins pour le retrait de la batterie.

Grâce au design écran plat du S6, il est également plus facile d'insérer un médiator dans l'interstice entre la batterie et l'écran complet, ce qui facilite la coupure de l'adhésif (toujours aussi tenace) fixant la batterie.

On ne peut guère qualifier la batterie de facile à remplacer, mais c'est un peu plus facile que dans le S6 Edge. Mais c'est quand même un énorme pas en arrière par rapport aux Galaxy précédents comme le S5, où on pouvait remplacer la batterie en utilisant rien d'autre que de l'intelligence, et même celle-là n'était pas vraiment nécessaire.
