  • Use an XACTO Knife to cut on the line you traced.

  • It can be difficult to control the knife when applying enough force to cut through the plastic, so I recommend going lightly for the first couple of times to make a groove. Once you have a properly-shaped groove, go back and apply more force to cut through the plastic. You can also drill 5 pilot holes using a fine drill bit at the vertices. This also helps to guide the knife.

  • To get a very clean cut you can try heating the tip of the exacto knife with a small lighter torch or even Cigarette Lighter. The hot Exacto blade will easily score into the sim card this way but you may need to heat it several times as it looses heat very quickly.

  • When you are nearly done, flip the SIM-Card over. You should be able to see the outline of the cutout you made on the top side. For a cleaner result, finish cutting the slot from the bottom side.

  • Remove the piece you cut out of the SIM.

Utilisez un couteau XACTO pour couper sur les lignes que vous avez tracé

Il est difficile de contrôler le couteau en appliquant une force suffisante pour couper le plastique, alors travaillez doucement les premières fois pour faire une rainure. Ceci fait, remontez et appliquez plus de force pour couper le plastique. Vous pouvez aussi forer 5 trous à l'aide d'un foret fin sur les sommets. Cela aide également à guider

Pour obtenir une coupe très propre, vous pouvez essayer de chauffer la pointe du couteau exacto avec une petite torche plus légère ou même une allume-cigarette. La lame Hot Exacto sera facilement marquée dans la carte SIM de cette façon, mais vous devrez peut-être la chauffer à plusieurs reprises car elle perd de la chaleur très rapidement.

Lorsque vous avez terminé, retournez la carte SIM. Vous devriez pouvoir voir le contour de la découpe que vous avez faite sur le côté supérieur. Pour un résultat plus propre, finissez de découper la fente du côté inférieur.

Retirez la pièce que vous avez coupée de la carte SIM.
