  • The rubber membrane surrounding the home button is very thin and tears easily.

  • Apply mild heat (with an iOpener, heat gun, or hair dryer) to soften the adhesive securing the home button membrane.

  • Using your fingertip, apply firm, constant pressure on the home button from the front side of the display assembly, until the membrane starts to separate from the front panel.

  • Do not push the home button all the way through—you only need to get a corner free so that you can pry it free with a spudger.

Het rubberen membraan dat om de thuisknop is gelegd is erg dun en scheurt snel.

Dien wat milde warmte toe (met een iOpener, warmtepistool of föhn) om de lijm die het membraan van de thuisknop vasthoudt, te verzachten.

Zet, met behulp van het topje van je vinger, een stevige, constante druk, vanaf de voorkant van het scherm, op de thuisknop, totdat het membraan loskomt van het voorste paneel.

Duw de thuisknop er nog niet volledig uit—je hebt enkel één losse hoek nodig om de rest eruit te kunnen duwen met een spudger.
