  • Slowly and gently lift the top edge of the front panel assembly away from the steel inner frame.

  • Continue to rotate the front panel assembly away from the steel inner frame until it slowly begins to peel off the adhesive applied below the home button area.

  • It may be easiest to insert a spudger at the top and work it around the edges, spreading gently as you go.

  • Carefully pull the lower edge of the front panel assembly away from the steel inner frame.

  • Be careful, if the home button sticks to the front panel you may tear the home button cable.

  • Do not pull the front glass completely away from the frame. Doing so may result In damage to the digitizer cable.

  • If the glass is cracked (which it probably is since you're replacing it) removing the panel is likely to cause it to bend, kicking off small shards of glass. Before you do this step, cover the front with clear tape, then perform the actual removal over a trash can. Protective eyewear would also be prudent.

Solleva, lentamente e delicatamente, il bordo superiore del gruppo del pannello frontale dal telaio interno in acciaio.

Ruota in modo continuo il gruppo del pannello frontale rispetto al telaio interno in acciaio finché non comincerà a staccarsi lentamente dall'adesivo applicato al di sotto della zona del pulsante home.

Può rivelarsi più facile inserire uno spudger nella parte superiore e quindi farlo scorrere lungo i bordi, forzando delicatamente l'apertura nel frattempo.

Allontana dal telaio in acciaio centrale, tirando con cautela, il bordo inferiore del gruppo del pannello frontale.

Presta una particolare attenzione al pulsante home: se questo si attacca al pannello frontale potresti strappare il cavo del pulsante stesso.

Non allontanare completamente il vetro frontale dal telaio per evitare il rischio di danni al cavo del digitizer.

Se il vetro è rotto (facile che sia il motivo della sostituzione), la rimozione del pannello ne può causare la piegatura con il distacco di frammenti di vetro. Prima di iniziare questo passo, copri il display con nastro adesivo trasparente, quindi procedi stando sopra a un cestino della spazzatura. E' prudente anche usare occhiali protettivi.
