  • Sorry for not including a complete tear down but I have no other images of this work.

  • Due to temperature changes in the car the solder will crack on this model and possibly others close to it causing the faceplate to no longer display. After unscrewing the housing and removing the cd unit locate the 10 surface mount resistors marked r27 shown in red.

  • Using a small tip soldering iron reflow the solder on each edge of the resistor. You should not need to add any extra but in my case I did for a few.

  • After all 20 contacts have been reflowed to the 10 resistors reattach the cd drive and case.

  • Enjoy your display like it was new again!

Sorry dat ik niet alle details heb weergegeven, maar ik heb geen andere afbeeldingen van dit werk.

Door temperatuurschommelingen in de auto kan het soldeertin bij dit model en mogelijk ook bij andere modellen barsten, waardoor het frontpaneel niet meer werkt. Nadat je de behuizing hebt losgeschroefd en de cd-unit hebt verwijderd, zoek je de 10 weerstanden, gemarkeerd met R27 (rood).

Gebruik een soldeerbout met een kleine punt om het soldeertin aan elke kant van de weerstand te laten vloeien. Je hoeft geen extra soldeer toe te voegen, maar in mijn geval heb ik dat wel gedaan.

Nadat alle 20 contacten opnieuw op de 10 weerstanden zijn aangesloten, bevestig je het cd-station en de behuizing weer.

Geniet van je display alsof hij weer als nieuw is!
