  • Position new armrest on door, tighten screws if you need too (optional). Where the upper screw portion of the armrest is, trace around it with pencil. Then remove the armrest. Place the new trim in the door and make sure the outline is centered in the opening of the trim.

  • Very carefully cut a small X inside the outline you drew in step 3. If you push in on the area, you should feel it give in a little around the bracket behind the panel. Start in the center and work your way out to make sure you do not cut too far. The panel is just fiberboard and is easy to cut through.

  • The hole should allow the upper bracket of the armrest to go inside the panel and rest against the bracket in the door.

Positionnez le nouvel accoudoir sur la porte, serrez les vis si nécessaire (facultatif). À l’endroit où se trouve la partie supérieure de la vis de l’accoudoir, tracez son contour avec un crayon. Retirez ensuite l'accoudoir. Placez la nouvelle garniture dans la porte et assurez-vous que le contour est centré dans l'ouverture de la garniture.

Découpez soigneusement un petit X à l'intérieur du contour que vous avez dessiné . Si vous appuyez sur la zone, vous la sentirez céder un peu autour derrière le panneau. Commencez par le centre et progressez vers l'extérieur pour vous assurer de ne pas couper trop loin. Le panneau est en fibres de bois et est facile à découper.

Le trou doit permettre au support supérieur de l'accoudoir de pénétrer à l'intérieur du panneau et de reposer contre le support de la porte.
