Replacement/soldering of the battery

  • The original battery is soldered onto a protection circuit on a small external printed circuit board (PCB) where two wires (red and black) attach to the motherboard.

  • On the PCB, the red wire (positively charged) is soldered near the battery’s positive post. The black wire (negatively charged) is soldered near the battery’s negative post.

  • Determine the positive and negative posts on the new battery in order to correctly wire it to the PCB.

  • You may need additional wires to solder the (+) and the (-) of the new battery to the PCB in the same way the old battery installed.

  • Solder the new battery to the small PCB, as shown in the second image. The PCB is plugged (white plug)

  • Charge the battery with the USB receiver on the Cybook Odyssey before mounting the battery onto the unit.

  • Verify that the Cybook functions properly when the battery is charged and the USB cord is unplugged.

Remplacent et soudure de la batterie

La batterie originale est soudée sur un circuit de protection sur un petit circuit imprimé (PCB) d'où sortent deux fils (un rouge et un noir) qui arrivent sur un connecteur sur la carte mère.

Sur le petit circuit imprimé, le fil rouge (positif) est soudé près du pôle + de la batterie. Le fil noir (-) est soudé près du pôle (-) de la batterie.

Déterminez les pôles (+) et (-) de la nouvelle batterie afin de les souder de manière correcte sur le PCB.

Vous pouvez avoir besoin de fils additionnels pour souder le (+) et le (-) de la nouvelle batterie sur le petit circuit imprimé (PCB) de la même manière que l'ancienne batterie.

Souder la nouvelle batterie sur le petit circuit imprimé (PCB) comme montré dans la deuxième image. Le circuit imprimé est connecté via le connecteur blanc à la carte mère.

Chargez la batterie avec le port USB du Cybook Odyssey avant de monter la batterie sur l'unité.

Vérifier que le Cybook fonctionne correctement quand la batterie est chargée et que le port USB est déconnecté.
