Use the point of a spudger to lift up the thin metal locking bar on the display connector.

Use your fingers to slide the display cable out of its connector.

Connect the display cable to your new display.

If the tape is sticky enough to reuse, press down to secure it in place over the connector. If it needs to be replaced, cut a section of clear packing tape to fit.
