Assess the issue
  • Any exposed stitch on a garment runs the risk of becoming snagged. Snags are most often caused by the stitch catching on something sharp and being pulled.

  • A standard machine straight stitch is comprised of a top and bottom thread. A snag occurs when the top thread gets pulled through the bottom thread, bunching the fabric. This excess of thread creates the loop.

  • As long as the thread wasn't cut, this guide will show how to release this loop back into the stitch.
