Assess the damage

  • Locate the damaged cord lock and take note of:

  • Type - The style of of cord lock and how many holes it has

  • Drawcord - How the drawcord threads through the cord lock and how the drawcord ends (end cap, knot, stitching)

  • Other Pieces - If the cord lock and drawcord are used in conjunction with any other pieces such as a rubber pull tab or plastic disc

  • If the cord lock is missing and it isn't clear how it was originally placed, see Step 7 for tips.

  • Check the other cord locks along that same drawcord. It's best practice to replace all damaged cord locks at the same time.

Évaluer les dégâts

Localisez le stop cordon cassé et déterminez :

Type - Le style du stop cordon et le nombre de trous qu'il comporte

Cordon de serrage - Comment le cordon de serrage s'enfile dans le stop cordon et comment il se termine (embout en plastique ou métal, nœud, couture)

Autres pièces - Si le stop cordon et le cordon de serrage sont utilisés avec d'autres pièces telles qu'une languette d'extraction en caoutchouc ou un disque en plastique

Si le stop cordon est manquant et que l'on ne sait pas comment il était placé à l'origine, reportez-vous à l'étape 7 pour obtenir des astuces.

Vérifiez les autres stop cordons le long du même cordon de serrage. Il est préférable de remplacer tous les stop cordons cassés en même temps.
