Remove the RTC battery

  • Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry up the RTC battery, separating the adhesive securing it to the frame.

  • Remove the RTC battery.

  • During reassembly:

  • When installing a new RTC battery, make sure the cable is facing its socket on the motherboard.

  • If your replacement battery comes with adhesive pre‑installed, remove the old adhesive from the frame before installing the new battery.

  • If it doesn't, you can reuse the adhesive if it's still sticky. If you need to replace the adhesive, use thin, double‑sided tape to secure your new battery.

Quita la batería RTC

Usa el extremo plano de un spudger para hacer palanca con cuidado en la batería RTC y separarla del adhesivo que la sujeta al marco.

Quita la batería RTC.

Durante el reensamblaje:

Cuando instales una batería RTC nueva, asegúrate de que el cable esté orientado hacia su zócalo en la placa madre.

Si la batería de reemplazo viene con adhesivo preinstalado, quita el adhesivo antiguo del marco antes de instalar la batería nueva.

Si no es así, puedes reutilizar el adhesivo si aún está pegajoso. Si necesitas reemplazar el adhesivo, usa cinta delgada de doble cara para fijar la batería nueva.
