Your Mac will act much, much worse upon rebooting, because no patches are installed.
But, once booted, open every application that you downloaded and get all access possible.
Some applications may not work at all without Root Patching, for example image editors that need metal graphics to run. Without Root Patching, you cannot open applications like these and get access to the camera or whatever it needs access to.
