LEFT ear cup review
  • The headphones must have their ear pads removed by carefully lifting the pads from the grooves around the headphones.

  • Next use the screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the left ear cups. Mind the wires as you remove the outer part, as two small wires connect back to the board.

  • As you can see, once removed you can see the battery has been soldered onto the board. There is a circuit board inside the battery itself.

  • Unlike the AKG Y50BT/C50BT, this model does NOT a connector that can be swapped out for a new battery.

  • I DO NOT advise trying to fix this headset due to this issue design by AKG.
