Once the vent cover has been removed, it is possible to push out the vacuum contents by pressing here, shown by the arrow in the 1st photo

The on/off button will prevent the contents from sliding out, so it needs to be pushed in. Do that by pressing it's front edge (shown by the arrow on 2nd photo), while also continuing to push the internals through the handle
