Add the second jumper (the last one)

  • One end of this jumper wire will be soldered to the diode at the top right. Don't worry if it touches the diode to its left as these two are connected from factory.

  • The other end of the jumper wire, will go to the input of the 12v regulator. There is a convenient pad right next to it you can use.

  • Connecting to the output of the 12v regulator: If you use a good quality, regulated 12v power supply, you can actually connect this end of the wire to the OUTPUT of the 12V regulator for lower thermal operation (located at TP14) however,

  • by using the input pin as indicated here, you will be able to use a power supply higher than 12v, and also, the 12v regulator will serve as protection in case anything goes wrong with your power supply or for when someone accidentally connects an old 9V AC power brick to your drive.

Conecta el segundo puente (el último)

Un extremo de este cable lo soldarás al diodo superior derecho. No te preocupes si el cable toca al diodo de la izquierda, porque ambos ya están conectados de fábrica.

El otro extremo de este cable lo conectarás a la entrada del regulador de 12v. Hay un pad donde puedes soldar, ubicado convenientemente junto al regulador.

Conexión a la salida del regulador de 12 V: Si utilizas una fuente de alimentación regulada de 12 V de buena calidad, puedes conectar este extremo del cable a la SALIDA del regulador de 12 V para un funcionamiento térmico más bajo (ubicado en TP14) sin embargo,

al usar el pin de entrada como se indica aquí, podrás usar una fuente de alimentación superior a 12v, y además, el regulador de 12v te servirá como protección en caso de que algo salga mal con tu fuente de alimentación o cuando alguien conecte accidentalmente un viejo adaptador de alimentación de CA de 9V a tu unidad.
