This step is only needed if fully removing the cord retraction mechanism. If the cord doesn't need to come out, this cowling can stay untouched.
Use a spudger to pop the clips out of the cowling's outside face. Pull it out.
Remove the holders on the inside of the cowling so the bracket can be pivoted out.
Separate the cowling and bracket and remove the cord.
Keep track of the small bracket; if it's lost the part won't go in right.
