Seal the new lace tips

  • If you use a replacement lace cord, which doesn't have lace tips or where the lace tips are too big, you will need to seal (melt) the tips before threading them through the stopper.

  • TAKE CARE!: Use a lighter to slightly melt the material of the lace tip. The flame does not need to touch the lace directly, only to melt the fibres through indirect heat. Only do this in a safe environment and under supervision if needed.

  • While the lace tips are still semi-melted, press each tip together with your fingers while twisting gently to create a thin, rounded ending.

Seal de nieuwe veteruiteinden

Als je een vervangende veter gebruikt en deze geen veteruiteinden heeft of als de uiteinden te groot zijn, moet je de uiteinden afdichten (smelten) voordat je ze door de stopper rijgt.

LET OP!: Gebruik een aansteker om het materiaal van het veteruiteinde lichtjes te smelten. De vlam hoeft de veter niet direct te raken; de hitte alleen is voldoende om de vezels te laten smelten. Doe dit alleen in een veilige omgeving en onder toezicht indien nodig.

Terwijl de veteruiteinden nog half gesmolten zijn, druk elk uiteinde voorzichtig samen met je vingers en draai lichtjes om een dun, afgerond uiteinde te vormen.
