Prepare your headset for disassembly

Slide the power switch on the back of the left ear cup down so it's in the OFF position.
The blue indicator should be covered by the switch.
Unplug all cables from your headset and flip the microphone up.
During your repair, it can be helpful to lay your headset on a soft cloth to stabilize it and prevent damage.
