Unscrew the Screws on the Bottom Cover
  • Close the laptop lid and place it upside down.

  • Locate the five T5 bits underneath the laptop. Using a screwdriver with a T5 bit, unscrew the five screws on the bottom cover.

  • The laptop comes with a screwdriver with a T5 bit. This screwdriver will work for this guide.

  • These screws will remain attached to the bottom cover even when fully unscrewed. Do not attempt to remove them.

  • The screw on the bottom left will not unscrew as far. This screw lifts the input cover slightly.

  • This screw will make a clicking noise when it has been unscrewed far enough.
