Unplug and remove the battery

Carefully remove the cable from the battery port.

REMEBER TO GRAB THE EDGES OF THE CONNECTOR. DO NOT PULL THE CABLES.

Remove the two screws as shown.

Remove the battery. Inspect it for any bulging, excessive heat, and damage. Replace if needed.
