  • Underneath the shielding, most of the device is covered in thermal compound. We're not big fans of glue, in general, but it's really important for fast charging performance that nothing in here gets too hot.

  • This thermal compound conducts heat away from the electrical components, then out through the shielding. It also helps stabilize the components.

  • The compound cures soft (you can see how it coated our spudger!), which means that any component-level repair will be messy.

Onder de afscherming is het grootste deel van het apparaat bedekt met thermische pasta. We zijn over het algemeen geen grote fans van lijm, maar voor snelladen is het erg belangrijk dat er niets te heet wordt.

Deze thermische verbinding geleidt warmte weg van de elektrische componenten en vervolgens via de afscherming naar buiten. Het helpt ook om de componenten te stabiliseren.

Het mengsel hardt zacht uit (je kunt zien hoe het onze spudger bedekt!), wat betekent dat reparaties op componentniveau een rommelige ervaring zullen zijn.
